Role Overview

To support our busy project management function, we have created a vacancy for an experienced QS.
Reporting to our Head of Project Management, you’ll provide real time cost data for all elements of our
projects and at each stage of the project lifecycle, facilitating effective decision making and contributing
to the overall success of our projects.

Experience in a similar role is desirable.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyse cost vs budget data from Company ERP software.
• Evaluate time, labour costs and expenditure across all project disciplines (sales, design, drawing office, glazing, procurement, fabrication and construction).
• Generate weekly reports on project commercial status.
• Communicate weekly reports with project managers and assist in problem solving and determining action plans for mitigation where required.
• Perform risk, value management and cost control activities throughout project lifecycle.
• Identify commercial risk.
• Work closely with bid managers and project managers on variations.
• Advise on contractual issues to help ensure projects meeting legal and quality standards.
• Support project managers with applications for payment, notices and final accounts.
• Produce financial data and support evaluation of completed project performance against budget.
• Complying with all relevant Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• Working in accordance with our Company Values.

Key Experience

• Experience gained in a similar role is essential. Other industries considered; attitude and approach will be most important.
• AssocRICS or MRICS desirable.
